The LUMBERYARD LUMBERYARD, formerly known as the American Dance Institute, is a leading-edge arts center offering residencies to performance artists, as well as events and performances that are open to the public. Located in Catskill, NY, LUMBERYARD is the first place in the U.S. designed to allow artists to explore their creation, to test, experiment and bring their vision to life immediately before premiere. The LUMBERYARD contemporary performing arts center hosts technical residences for performance artists who need access to a theater, studio, event space, production staff, and more to bring their vision to life. The Orpheum Film & Performing Arts Center The 247 seat, state-of-the-art Orpheum Film & Performing Arts Center, conveniently located in the Village of Tannersville, is owned and operated by the Catskill Mountain Foundation. A variety of chamber music, folk, pop and world music, and dance performances are scheduled throughout the year. Kaaterskill Fine Arts Gallery The Kaaterskill Fine Arts Gallery offers intriguing exhibits, crafts, books, and gifts showcasing the best of Catskill artists and beyond. Exhibits support local and regional artists, featuring their works in solo and thematically grouped shows with new exhibitions opening every six weeks. Adjacent to the gallery, the 800 square foot Village Square Bookstore and crafts marketplace stocks a selection of 3000 titles, including contemporary poetry, art, fiction, local geography, sustainability and children’s books as well as handcrafted items from artisans in our region and around the world.
